Your books are safe with us — and they stay yours.
Your bills, stock and accounts are the record of your business. Here is how we protect them, who can see them, and how you can take them with you at any time.
One secure sign-in
Sign in to the app with your Oasis account using a one-time code on your mobile or e-mail; owners can turn on two-step verification with an authenticator app.
Encrypted all the way
Every connection uses HTTPS. Your data sits on secure servers, with access limited to the few people who run the service.
Backed up regularly
Your data is backed up regularly and kept for recovery, so a lost laptop or a dead hard disk never costs you your books.
Roles and an audit trail
Give each person only what they need, and see who changed what, and when.
Your data, always yours
Export your records to Excel at any time, and ask for a full data package if you ever leave. We never sell your data.
Safe offline billing
Bills made offline stay on the counter or the phone only until there is a connection, and are never sent to another business's books; the sign-in is kept encrypted and is removed when the person signs out.
Who can see what
You decide who sees your business
- Each person has their own sign-in; nobody shares a password.
- Roles decide what each person can see and do — a cashier never sees your profit and loss.
- Every change is recorded with who made it and when.
- Period locks stop anyone from changing a month that has been filed.
- Your CA's practice sees only the level you grant — view only, books or full bookkeeping — and never your users, subscription or data export.
- Partners and our support team can look only with your consent, read-only, and every visit is recorded.

About security and privacy
Where is my data stored?
On secure servers used by Oasis SoftApp Services to run its products. The services we rely on are listed on the sub-processors page.
Can KashGenie staff see my accounts?
Only when you ask for help and allow it. Support access is read-only, needs your consent, and every visit is recorded.
What can my CA see?
Only what you grant: view only, the books, or full bookkeeping. Anybody from the practice is shown as the practice's wherever an entry's author is shown, and when you withdraw the access they are shut out on their next request.
What happens to my data if I stop paying?
Your workspace becomes read-only: you can still see, print and export everything. Data is kept for the period the privacy policy describes — including what the GST law requires — and you can ask for it to be deleted after that.
Do you sell or share my data?
No. We never sell your data. We share it only with the services that help us run KashGenie (such as messaging and payment providers), for that purpose alone.
Is my customers' information safe?
Yes. Your customers' names, numbers and addresses are used only for your bills and messages, and are protected like the rest of your data.
