1. Scope of this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Oasis SoftApp Services may collect, receive, store, use and protect information shared through this website or through related channels such as email, WhatsApp, phone, demos, business enquiries, proposals, support discussions and project coordination.
It applies to information voluntarily provided by website visitors, prospective clients, existing clients, implementation stakeholders, vendors and other business contacts who interact with us in connection with our services or products.
2. Information we may collect
What we collect depends on the kind of interaction you have with us. It may include your name, company name, contact number, email address, location details you share, project requirements, product interest, support requests, screenshots, documents, workflow notes and other information you choose to provide for discussion, evaluation, service delivery or support.
- Contact details used for communication and follow-up
- Business and project information you share voluntarily
- Support-related information needed for troubleshooting or assistance
- Files, attachments or reference material needed to understand your requirement
3. How we collect information
We mainly collect information when you choose to contact us for business purposes — by email, WhatsApp, a call request, a product discussion, a proposal request or a support enquiry. We may also collect limited technical interaction data through normal website operation, hosting, security or performance monitoring.
4. How the information is used
We use what you share to understand your requirement, respond to your communication, provide service and product information, arrange demos, prepare proposals or estimates, deliver development work, support implementation, provide technical assistance and maintain operational and record-keeping needs.
- To respond to enquiries and follow up
- To assess software, website, product or support requirements
- To prepare discussions, estimates or implementation planning
- To deliver project, product or support services
- To maintain internal records for accountability and continuity
5. Basis on which information may be processed
Where relevant, information may be processed because you approached us voluntarily, because processing is necessary for business communication or pre-contractual discussion, because it supports service delivery or legitimate business operations, or because it is reasonably required for legal compliance, dispute management, security or protection of rights.
7. If you use an Oasis product
When you or your business sign up for an Oasis product (such as DesiMenus or HotelSimplify), we also process, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023:
- Account details: your name, mobile number, email and, if you set one, a password (stored only as a hash)
- Business details you give us: legal and trade name, GSTIN, PAN and address
- Security records: sign-in attempts, devices and IP addresses, kept to protect your account
- Messages sent through the products: the address, the template and the delivery status
The business data your workspace holds (for example your customers' orders, bookings or invoices) is processed on your behalf to run the product. Messaging and payment providers that carry out a service for you are listed on Sub-processors.
8. Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for enquiry management, project communication, support continuity, commercial discussion, internal records, compliance obligations, financial documentation, dispute management or operational protection. The duration depends on the nature of the information and the business context.
9. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information from unauthorised access, misuse, accidental loss, disclosure or alteration. No online platform, transmission method, storage medium or third-party communication service can be guaranteed completely secure, so please share business information with normal internet caution and professional judgment.
10. Third-party platforms and services
This website may link to or depend on third-party services such as email platforms, WhatsApp, hosting environments, communication tools or analytics tools. Your interaction with those services is governed by their own policies and terms, and we are not responsible for the privacy practices of services we do not own or control.
12. Your rights and requests
Subject to applicable law and practical limitations, you may contact us to request access to information you have shared, seek correction of inaccurate information, request deletion where appropriate, ask us to stop non-essential communication, or raise a concern about how information has been handled. We review such requests in good faith and respond as reasonably appropriate.
13. Your account and the grievance officer
If you have an Oasis account you can see and change your details in My account, ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to erase data we do not have to keep by law. Complaints about how your personal data is handled can be sent to our grievance officer or raised through the grievance form; we acknowledge within 24 hours and aim to resolve within 15 days.
14. Children’s privacy
This website and our services are intended for professional, institutional and business use. We do not knowingly collect information from children for independent consumer-style use of the website.
15. International access
Our operations are based in India. If this website is accessed from outside India, information shared with us may be handled in the context of Indian business operations, communication infrastructure and service delivery practices, unless a separate contractual arrangement states otherwise.
16. Changes to this policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect operational, legal, technical or website-related changes. The latest version published here should be treated as the current reference version.

KashGenie schedule
These points apply to KashGenie in addition to the policy above. Where they differ, the more specific point here applies to KashGenie.
What KashGenie holds for your business
When your business uses KashGenie, your workspace holds what you enter to run the business: your business profile (legal and trade name, GSTIN, PAN, addresses), items and prices, customers and suppliers (names, mobile numbers, e-mail addresses, addresses and GSTIN), invoices, purchases, receipts and payments, vouchers, stock and the people you allow to use the workspace.
For the personal data of your customers and suppliers, your business decides why and how it is used; Oasis SoftApp Services processes it on your behalf only to run KashGenie for you, as described in this policy. Collect only what you need, and tell your customers how you use their details.
The counter (POS) on your device
The KashGenie counter works in the browser of the machine at your till and keeps working when the internet is down. To do that it keeps, on that device, a copy of your items and prices and the bills that have not yet been sent. Sign-in details for the counter are kept encrypted on the device. Bills leave the device as soon as there is a connection; signing out of the counter removes the sign-in from it.
The KashGenie app on your phone or PC
The KashGenie app for Android and Windows keeps on the device what it needs to work: your sign-in (kept encrypted), the screens' settings, and bills made while the device is offline until they are sent. For alerts, an Android device is registered with the notification service under your workspace, and the registration is removed when you sign out. When an accountant moves between the businesses they work for, bills waiting on the device are held for the business they belong to and are never sent to another.
Messages and online payments
When you send an invoice, a receipt or a reminder on WhatsApp, SMS or e-mail, the message is sent through Oasis messaging: the address, the template and the delivery status are kept so you can see what was sent. When a customer pays an invoice online, the payment is handled by the Oasis payments engine and the payment gateway; card and bank details are entered on the gateway's page and are never seen or stored by KashGenie.
How long KashGenie keeps your records
Your workspace is kept while your account is open, and you can export it at any time. When a business closes its account it can first download a full data package. After that, personal details of people (your staff, and customers who are individuals) are erased or masked, while tax records — sales and purchase registers and vouchers — are kept for as long as tax law requires, in your business's name. Under GST law books must be kept for at least 72 months from the due date of the year's annual return, so in practice about eight years.
Requests from your customers
If one of your customers asks what data you hold about them, or asks you to correct or erase it, you can do that in KashGenie (edit the party), keeping what tax law requires. If a request reaches Oasis directly, we pass it to your business and help you answer it.
This website and its helper
"Ask KashGenie", the helper on this website, answers from the website's own content. Your questions are not stored with your name, and the conversation stays in your browser tab until you close it. Details you give in the enquiry or partner form reach the Oasis sales and support team as an enquiry, and are used only to answer it.
